June and I have wanted to visit New York City since the first winter we spent together over 3 years ago. Every year we were unable to go for one reason or another. This year I decided to surprise June with a trip to NYC as a Christmas gift with another surprise planned for New Year’s Eve. I wanted to propose in a more private location, away from the New Year’s crowds, so I picked Gapstow Bridge in Central Park early in the morning. I hired a photographer as well to discretely take pictures of our special moment, since I knew we would want the moment captured forever. Fortunately, the timing and location was perfect, she said yes, and we were able to do a photo shoot around Central Park afterward! After the day of touring the city, we came back to Central Park for a New Year’s fireworks show, celebrating both the New Year and our new engagement!
