Halo Engagement Rings Houston
Halo diamond engagement rings have a "halo" of stones encircling a center stone. This style can be applied to solitaire and three stone setting styles. Typically, what you think of when you hear "halo" are small round stones in a halo setting style that will have a clean and straight edge that mimics the center stone's shape. Although the halo uses smaller diamonds, the size of these stones can vary. Typically, the smaller the halo stones are, the larger the center will appear.
The Halo
Recently we have seen several new halo trends. The "hidden halo" gives a solitaire illusion from the top view but from any other angle, the halo is seen emphasizing the brilliance of the center stone. Some other alterations are made to create very unique halo styles. Changing prong placement and using different shapes and stone sizes create a new shape rather than mimicking the center shape. Another trend is to use more than one halo, sometimes this looks like using two traditional halo styles stacked next to one another. Other times it looks like combining halo styles.

The most common of all of the stone shapes. You can't go wrong with the perfectly round stone.

The oval shape is known to make the stone look larger than other stones of the same carat weight while it gives the appearance of a longer slimmer finger.

The Emerald Cut is one of the initial diamond shapes with origins traced back to the 1500's.
